Kingswood Colomendy
Year 10 and Year 12 geography students spent 3 days at Kingswood Colomendy completing a river study in preparation for their exam. This involved them standing in the River Alyn taking measurements of width, depth, wetted perimeter, float velocity and flow velocity at different sites. Using GIS software back at the centre we analysed our findings. Our hard working students also had the chance to do some caving, problem solving and take the challenge on Jacob's ladder!
