Trip to the Wimbledon Tennis Championships -Sunday 7th July -Monday 8th July 2024
We have an exciting opportunity for your child/ward to attend the world's premier Grand Slam Tennis Championships at Wimbledon. Your child/ward can be there, soaking up the atmosphere and watching the action on No 2 Court, if they choose to attend.
As well as watching the action courtside, your child/ward can join the crowds on 'Henman Hill' or 'Murray Mount', as it is increasingly known, and watch play on Centre Court on the huge TV screen.
We will travel down to Wimbledon on Sunday 7th July returning on Monday 8th July 2024. The price per student includes:
• Two days' coach travel, including pick-up and drop-off at Hilbre High School
• One night's accommodation at a good standard hotel
• Continental breakfast
• No.2 Court ticket for The Championships on 7th July and 8th July 2024
• Services of a Sport Experiences Tour Manager
Itinerary:
Day One
Leaving school early morning we will travel to Wimbledon. We plan to arrive late morning, in good time to see play commence, which is normally around 12pm. The Championships' scheduling and how the weather has been during the previous days will determine exactly which matches are played. However, whatever matches you see, you are sure to be amazed at the incredible quality of tennis!
At the close of play, which can be at any time between 6.30pm and 8.30pm, dependent on the number and length of the matches to be played, we will be transferred to our overnight accommodation after an early dinner (not included in the price).
Day Two
After breakfast at the hotel, the coaches will transfer us back to Wimbledon for the second day of action. We plan to arrive late morning, in good time to see play commence.
At the close of play, which can be at any time between 6.30pm and 8.30pm, dependent on the number and length of the matches to be played, we will head home late and should arrive back at Hilbre High School late in the evening.
As you can imagine this will be a very popular trip and we expect there to be a lot of interest. There are 40 places available and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. The cost of the trip will be £365.00.
